To provide a mat for soil erosion prevention which can more simply and effectively protect inclined surface soil.SOLUTION: A mat 100 for soil erosion prevention includes: a flexible mat body 101 which vertically extends, has a longitudinal direction arranged in an inclination direction of inclined surface soil, and is configured to reduce erosion of a soil surface; and one or a plurality of flow rate reduction materials 110 which are mounted on the surface of the mat body 101 to reduce a flow rate of flowing water that flows on the surface of inclined surface soil. The flow rate reduction material 110 is formed into such a long cylindrical shape as to extend over the whole in a lateral direction of the mat body 101, and is configured to form a weir having a predetermined height in a vertical direction from the surface of the mat body 101.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
