To provide a beam member mounting structure with excellent durability and rigidity even when installed in a mountain stream and effective energy absorption, and a sediment trapping fence.SOLUTION: The beam member mounting structure includes: multiple supports installed in a mountain stream; and a beam member that is supported at the upstream side of the multiple supports. In the beam member mounting structure, the beam member is provided with a mounting plate in which a downstream main plane abuts an upstream mounting surface of the support. Owing to this, the beam member mounting structure has excellent durability and rigidity even when installed in mountain streams and has effective energy absorption.
