To provide an object moving mechanism capable of improving the holding force of a moving object.SOLUTION: A drive-side spindle member 14 of a drive device 10 in an object moving mechanism 1 brought into rotation by driving of a motor 13. A drive-side nut member 15 is engaged in a thread manner with the drive-side spindle member 14. A moving section 11 has a first connecting section 22 which can be connected to an object to be moved, and is connected to the drive-side nut member 15. A driven section 51 of a support device 50 in an object moving mechanism 1 has a third connecting section 62 which can be connected to the object to be moved, and is driven by the movement of the moving section 11. A support-side nut member 55 is connected to the driven section 51. A support-side spindle member 54 is engaged in a thread manner with the support-side nut member 55, and is rotated by movement of the support-side nut member 55.
