The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a non-glossy pottery with excellent symbol expression, which comprises the steps of: molding a pottery with a basic material which contains a mixture of 100 parts by weight of white porcelain soil and 15-20 parts by weight of celadon soil; firstly plasticizing the molded pottery at the temperature of 900°C; forming a water repellant pigment by mixing 1-5 parts by weight of a water repellant with 100 parts by weight of a pottery pigment; expressing decorative symbols drawn on the surface of the pottery using the water repellant pigment; drying the pottery on which the decorative symbols are expressed for one day; glazing the dried pottery by immersing the dried pottery in a non-glossy fracturing glaze which contains a mixed composition of 50-55 parts by weight of feldspar, 25-30 parts by weight of dolomite, 20 parts by weight of kaolin, 5-6 parts by weight of limestone, and 5-6 parts by weight of silica with respect to 100 parts by weight of water; reducing and plasticizing the glazed pottery at the temperature of 1,220°C; and applying Chinese ink on the surface of the plasticized pottery so that the Chinese ink can be soaked into fractured symbols, and then cleanly washing the surface. According to the present invention as described above, decorative and artistic values of a pottery can be enhanced due to having excellent expression of decorative symbols and fractured symbols.
