The present invention relates to a rod-shaped plastic guardrail installed on an edge of a highway, a bridge, or the like. The guardrail is installed on a vertical post in a horizontal direction, and comprises two containers arranged in a coaxial manner. In particular, the guardrail comprises: an outer container including a plurality of first ribs formed to protrude inward from an inner surface; an inner container having a fitting groove formed to allow a first rib to be closely inserted between a plurality of second ribs formed to protrude outward from an outer surface and a second rib adjacent thereto; an intermediate layer connecting the ends of the first and second ribs to be separated from each other so that the end of the first rib is positioned at an entrance of the fitting groove when the inner and outer containers are disposed to face each other; and a fixing means for installing the outer container on one side surface of a post. According to the structure of the present invention, when impact is applied to the surface of the outer container, the intermediate layer is cut off, and the first rib is forcibly inserted into the fitting groove. In such a process, by continuously provided friction resistance, the impact is alleviated.
