The present invention provides a fire extinguishing apparatus for extinguishing a fire in a building in an early stage. The fire extinguishing apparatus comprises: a fire detection unit which is arranged at a plurality of locations of an indoor space and detects an occurrence of a fire; electric devices which are arranged at set locations of the indoor space and have wires; an abnormal state detection unit to detect an abnormal state of the electric devices; and a spray unit which is installed at a plurality of locations of the indoor space, and selectively sprays firefighting water or a solid firefighting material. If the fire occurrence is detected, the location at which the fire has occurred is identified. An electric device included within a set radius from the identified location is selected among the electric devices. The selected electric device is determined as an electric device of interest. If an abnormal state in the electric device of interest is detected from the abnormal state detection unit, the spray unit is used to spray the firefighting material to the electric device of interest. If an electric device included within the set radius from the identified location is not present among the electric devices, the spray unit is used to spray the firefighting water to the identified location.

The present invention provides a fire extinguishing apparatus for extinguishing a fire in a building in an early stage.
