본 발명은 콜타르 피치로부터 메조카본 마이크로비드를 제조 및 산화 안정화를 통해 탄화 탄소 블록을 제조하는 방법 및 이런 제조 방법으로 제조된 탄화 탄소 블록에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는 콜타르 피치로부터 제조된 메조카본 마이크로비드의 산화안정화 공정을 통해, 방향족 탄소 함량(aromatic carbon content)을 높임으로써 팽창 현상을 억제시키고, 탄화 공정의 저분자량의 휘발속도를 조절함으로써 기계적 물성을 개선된 등방성 탄화 탄소 블록을 제조하는 방법 및 이런 제조 방법으로 제조된 고밀도 및 고강도의 탄화 탄소 블록에 관한 것이다.
