The present invention relates to an upper protection hole for a groundwater well, which is installed on an upper end of a groundwater well including a tubular casing installed in the ground and an uplift pipe installed inside the casing to pump up groundwater to connect the uplift pipe to a water pipe on the ground, and covers and protects a well to prevent dust or foreign substances on the ground from being introduced into the ground. The upper protection hole for a groundwater well comprises: a housing including a cylindrical body and a coupling part protruding downward from the center of a lower surface of the body; a connection pipe installed inside the housing to connect the uplift pipe to the water pipe; a support formed in a ring shape, and installed to be fitted to the outside of an upper end of the casing; and a spring fitted to the coupling part to be interposed between the body and the support. A spiral part is formed at an upper end of the outer periphery or an upper end of the inner periphery of the casing, and a corresponding spiral part screwed with the spiral part is formed at the inner periphery or the outer periphery of the coupling part.
