A horizontal drainage material having excellent mechanical properties, evenly distributing pressure, and being environmentally friendly is provided. One embodiment of the present invention comprises: a core part having a drainage channel formed therein; and a short-fiber nonwoven fabric wrapping the core part, wherein the short-fiber nonwoven fabric comprises a first nonwoven fabric, a second nonwoven fabric arranged on the first nonwoven fabric, and a mat layer arranged between the first nonwoven fabric and the second nonwoven fabric. The mat layer comprises a plurality of warp yarns extending in parallel along the longitudinal direction and a weft yarn extending in a zigzag manner along the transverse direction on the plurality of warp yarns.
