본 발명은 단열재에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는, 종래에 매립되어 폐기되던 폐 퍼라이트 및 알루미늄 드로스를 단열보냉소재로 재활용함으로써, 경량성, 단열성, 내화성 등의 우수한 물성을 확보할 수 있으면서도, 산업 폐기물을 재활용함에 따라 원가 절감, 생산성 증대, 환경오염 저감, 경제의 선순환 등의 부가가치를 기대할 수 있는, 페 퍼라이트 및 알루미늄 드로스를 포함하는 단열재 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 이를 위해 단열재 조성물은, 폐 퍼라이트 분말 10 중량부에 대하여, 알루미늄 드로스 분말 5 내지 10 중량부, 폐 스티로폼 2 내지 5 중량부 및 시멘트 혼합물 5 내지 10 중량부를 포함한다.
