A fluid pressure rotation device (10) includes: a case (20); a cylinder block (40) rotationally accommodated in the case (20); a piston (50) movably supported in a cylinder chamber (41) opened to one side of the cylinder block (40); a fluid chamber (65) arranged between the case (20) and the cylinder block (40) and provided on the case (20) side; and a flow path (66) connected to the fluid chamber (65) provided on the case (20) side. The flow path (66) has a valve plate (60) which is opened to the other side of the cylinder block (40) and is opened in a position facing a passage (42) connected to the cylinder chamber (41).
