HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE HAVING APPARATUS FOR PREVENTING FREEZING AND BURSTING
Disclosed are an apparatus for preventing freezing and bursting to prevent a pipe or a water supply valve from bursting by freezing and a household appliance having the same. The apparatus for preventing freezing and bursting is disposed on a pipe having a first flow passage in which a fluid flows to prevent freezing and bursting, and comprises: a case installed on the pipe and provided with a second flow passage formed therein and connected to the first flow passage; a variable member disposed in the case; a sealing member disposed on a front end of the variable member to open and close the first flow passage; and a support member disposed on a rear end of the variable member to support the variable member. The variable member is made of a shape memory alloy which is transformed into a memorized shape according to a prescribed temperature range.
결빙에 따른 배관 또는 급수 밸브의 동파를 방지하기 위한 동파방지장치 및 이를 구비하는 가전제품을 개시한다. 유체가 흐르는 제1유로가 형성되는 배관과, 배관에 설치되어 동파를 방지하도록 마련되는 동파방지장치에 있어서, 동파방지장치는, 제1유로와 연통되는 제2유로가 내부에 형성되도록 상기 배관에 설치되는 케이스; 케이스 내부에 마련되는 가변부재;가변부재의 선단부에 배치되어 제1유로를 개폐하는 실링부재; 가변부재의 후단부에 배치되어 가변부재를 지지하도록 마련되는 지지부재;를 포함하고, 가변부재는 설정된 온도의 범위 따라 기억된 형상으로 변형되는 형상기억합금으로 형성하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
