RAW COMPOSITION FOR MANUFACTURING MINERAL WOOL BY USE OF SCRAPPED COAL MATERIALS AND MINERAL WOOL USING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a raw material composition for manufacturing a mineral wool based on recycling of coal waste materials and steel plant slag, a mineral wool manufactured from the same, and a product using the same. According to the raw material composition for mineral wool manufacturing according to the present invention, liquid alkali metal silicate and polyethylene glycol (PEG) are added during mixing of coal ash and limestone as the coal waste materials. As a result, the raw fine powder materials are uniformly mixed and strength improvement is achieved without cracking. Then, forming into coal briquettes is performed for no thermal damage to occur in the event of putting into a melting furnace. As a result, a poor worksite environment attributable to scattering of the fine powder of the coal ash can be improved, the content of the steel plant slag mixed with the coal briquette can be increased, and melting efficiency can be improved. Accordingly, the rate of recycling of the coal waste materials and the steel plant slag can be increased. In addition, added value creation can be achieved to a large extent, imported raw materials such as pulp can be replaced, and price competitiveness can be ensured in the inorganic insulator market because the mineral wool satisfying physical properties to the extent of being utilized as an inorganic nonflammable insulator and papermaking pulp is provided by the use of the raw material composition and the recycling of the coal waste materials and the steel plant slag.
본 발명은 석탄 폐자원 및 제철슬래그를 재활용한 미네랄 울 제조용 원료조성물, 그로부터 제조된 미네랄 울 및 그를 이용한 제품에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 미네랄 울 제조용 원료조성물은 석탄 폐자원인 석탄재 및 석회석을 배합할 때, 액상의 알칼리 금속 규산염과 폴리에틸렌글리콜(PEG)의 첨가에 의해, 미분상태인 원재료를 균일하게 혼합하고 크랙발생 없이 강도를 개선하여 용융로에 투입시 열 파손되지 않도록 성형탄으로 성형함으로써, 석탄재의 흩날리는 미분으로 인한 작업장 환경불량을 개선하고 상기 성형탄과 혼합되는 제철슬래그의 함량을 높이면서 용융효율을 향상시키므로 석탄 폐자원 및 제철슬래그의 재활용율을 높일 수 있다. 나아가, 원료조성물로서 석탄 폐자원 및 제철슬래그를 재활용하여, 무기 불연 단열재 및 제지용 펄프로 활용 가능할 수준의 물성을 충족하는 미네랄 울을 제공함으로써, 높은 부가가치를 창출하고, 펄프 등의 원자재 수입대체 효과와 무기단열재 시장에서의 가격경쟁력을 갖출 수 있다.
