Disclosed is a waterproofing construction method using an asphalt sheet. The waterproofing construction method using an asphalt sheet includes the steps of: attaching a first asphalt sheet onto a target surface, wherein the first asphalt sheet includes a rubberized asphalt layer and a polymer film for covering the rubberized asphalt layer, the rubberized asphalt layer in a first end area forms a protrusion part protruding horizontally so that the upper surface is exposed, and the polymer film in a second end area opposite to the first end area forms a protrusion part protruding horizontally so that the lower surface is exposed; attaching a second asphalt sheet to the target surface; and forming a sealing part between the upper surface of the polymer film of the first asphalt sheet and the protrusion part of the polymer film of the second asphalt sheet. The second end area of the second asphalt sheet is arranged above the first end area of the first asphalt sheet, and the upper surface of the protrusion part of the rubberized asphalt layer of the first asphalt sheet is directly combined with the rubberized asphalt layer of the second asphalt sheet.
