The present invention provides a safety evacuation system for a light rail transit. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the safety evacuation system for a light rail transit includes: a concrete roadbed in which an up track and a down track are provided to be parallel with each other; a platform installed at the same height with an entrance door of a train from the concrete roadbed and provided on a path through which the up track and the down track pass; a central evacuation route installed at the same height with the entrance door of the train from the concrete roadbed and provided between the upper track and the down track; and a track crossing evacuation route provided between the platform and the central evacuation route and installed on the concrete roadbed so as to cross the up track and the down track for evacuation to the platform from the central evacuation route.
