An electronic handcuff device comprises: a handcuff unit including a locking device; a sensor unit configured to measure changes in the handcuff unit and the vicinity of the handcuff unit; a calculation unit configured to store information on the changes measured from the sensor unit and determine a safety posture or a threatening posture of a user from the information; a first transmission and reception unit configured to transmit a suppression command when it is determined that the user is in the threatening posture in accordance with the determination of the calculation unit, and transmit a suppression release command when it is determined that the user is in the safety posture; and a suppression unit driven to suppress the user when the transmitted suppression command is received. Moreover, an electronic handcuff system comprises the electronic handcuff device and a controller.
