According to the present invention, a water meter protection container is capable of preventing a heat insulator (A) installed therein from ascending by buoyancy of humidity, and comprises: a protection container (10) having a heat insulator (A) installed in an internal space (11) to thermally insulate a water meter (1) underneath the same, and a groove (12) on a side of the internal space (11); a floating prevention part (20) positioned on an upper portion of the heat insulator (A) installed in the protection container (10) to block an ascent of the heat insulator (A) by buoyancy created from a temperature difference between the inside and outside or an inflow of external rainwater or the like; and a support means (30) formed on the floating prevention part (20) and installed in the internal space (11) of the protection container (10) to support the floating prevention part (20). Accordingly, the present invention prevents the installed heat insulator from ascending by accommodating humidity created by a temperature difference in the protection container or a large quantity of rain in a rainy season to prevent damage and twisting of the water meter protection container to prevent a water pipe from freezing and bursting.
본 발명은 내부에 삽설된 보온재(A)가 습기의 부력에 의해 상승함을 방지할 수 있는 수도계량기 보호통에 있어서: 내부공간(11) 상에 하부의 수도계량기(1)를 보온하게 보온재(A)가 삽설되고, 내부공간(11)의 측면에 요홈(12)을 구비하는 보호통(10); 상기 보호통(10)에 삽설되는 보온재(A)의 상부에 위치하여 내외부의 온도차 또는 외부의 빗물 등의 유입으로부터 발생된 부력으로 보온재(A)의 상승을 차단하는 부력방지구(20); 및 상기 부력방지구(20) 상에 형성되면서 보호통(10)의 내부공간(11) 상에 삽설되어 부력방지구(20)를 지지하는 지지수단(30);을 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 한다. 이에 따라 본 발명은, 수도관의 동파를 예방하고자 보호통의 내부에 온도차에 의하여 발생되는 습기 또는 장마철의 많은 양의 비가 수용됨에 의해 삽설된 보온재가 상승됨을 방지하도록 하여 수도계량기 보호통의 파손 및 틀어짐을 방지하는 효과를 제공한다.
