The purpose of the present invention is to simplify and lighten the composition of a locking device installed on a manhole cover and enable the composition to be applied in a wide range regardless of manhole standards as well as to make the composition substantial while preventing a locked manhole cover from being loosened by repetitive vibration. To achieve the purpose, a vertical opening groove and a horizontal opening groove are formed on the upper surface and lateral side of the edge of the body of a manhole cover and are divided through a partition, and then, the grooves are connected through a through hole, and then, an operation socket with a screw coupling part is inserted into the vertical opening groove, and a locking unit comprising a locking piece and a screw rod is inserted into the horizontal opening groove to enable the screw rod to be coupled with the screw coupling part of the operation socket through the through hole. Therefore, if the operation socket is rotated, the locking piece of the locking unit is moved inwards or outwards to lock or unlock the manhole cover.
본 발명은 맨홀덮개에 설치되는 잠금장치의 구성을 간단히 하면서, 경량화하고, 맨홀 규격에 한정됨이 없이 광범위하게 적용할 수 있게 하되, 잠금장치의 구성을 견고히 함과 동시에, 반복되는 진동에도 맨홀덮개의 잠금이 이완되지 않게 한 것이다. 상기 과제를 해결하기 위한 수단으로서, 본 발명은 맨홀덮개의 본체 테두리 상면과 측부에 수직개방홈과 수평개방홈을 구성하되, 격벽을 통하여 구획되게 한 다음, 관통공을 통하여 연결되게 하고, 상기 수직개방홈에 나사결합부가 형성된 작동소켓을 끼우고, 수평개방홈에는 잠금편과 나사봉으로 구성된 잠금구를 끼워 나사봉이 관통공을 관통하여 작동소켓의 나사결합부에 결합되게 함으로서, 작동소켓을 회전시키면 잠금구의 잠금편이 내외측방향으로 이동하면서 맨홀덮개의 잠금과 풀림이 이루어질 수 있게 한 것이다.
