The present invention relates to an improved square reef and, more specifically, to a square reef capable of protecting and nurturing aquatic resources by improving the conventional square reef structures to prevent subsidence in soft ground, provide a space for fish and shellfish to inhabit, and create a marine forest. The improved square reef of the present invention is for the inhabitation of fish and shellfish and the composition of a marine forest, and comprises: a hexahedral main body with an empty interior; an opening unit formed on each side of the main body so as to penetrate the main body in the front-rear direction, left-right direction, and up-down direction; and a protrusion unit formed to protrude at regular intervals from four surfaces except for the front and rear surfaces of the main body.
본 발명은 개량형 사각어초에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 종래의 사각어초 구조를 개량하여 연약지반에서 침하를 방지함과 동시에 어패류가 서식할 수 있는 공간을 제공하고 해중림을 조성함으로써 수산자원을 보호하고 육성할 수 있는 사각어초에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 개량형 사각어초는 어패류의 서식 및 해중림 조성을 위한 사각어초에 있어서, 내부가 비어있는 육면체 형태의 본체와, 본체를 전후 방향 및 좌우 방향, 상하 방향으로 관통할 수 있도록 본체의 각 면마다 형성된 개구부와, 본체의 전후면을 제외한 사면에 일정 간격으로 돌출되어 형성된 돌출부를 구비한다.
