State monitoring lockset
A standard spring retainer for a retract slide is upgraded in three embodiments. In a first embodiment, a first switch installed on an upgraded spring holder is activated (at both sides of a lock) when a latch is retracted. In a second embodiment, the first switch is activated when a latch bolt is pushed in by the latch hitting a strike plate in accordance with retraction of the latch or closing of a door. A spring carrier and a switch activator is added to the retract slide that is pushed back by a latch tailpiece. In a third embodiment, two switches monitor maximally four conditions when the door is open, when the door is closing, when the door is closed, and when the latch is retracted by an inner or an outer handle.
