TRUNK OPENING AND CLOSING APPARATUS FOR VEHICLES
The present invention relates to an automatic trunk opening and closing apparatus for a vehicle, which includes a sensor added to the rear surface of a vehicle to detect the distance and height between the vehicle and an obstacle behind the vehicle or above the vehicle, such that, when a trunk opening and closing means operates, a trunk is opened only when a space enough to open the trunk is secured based on detected materials by detecting the distance between the vehicle and a wall or an obstacle behind the vehicle and the height between a roof panel and an obstacle above the roof panel, thereby preventing damage, deterioration, or contamination that could occur when the trunk hits an obstacle or a wall. Moreover, by comparing the detected distance and height with a set length and a set height respectively and providing different warnings, a driver can easily determine whether the distance between the car and the wall or obstacle behind the vehicle is short, or if the height between the roof panel and an obstacle above the roof panel is low, and quickly cope with the determination.
자동차 배면에서 그 뒤나 그 위에 있는 장애물 사이의 거리와 높이를 검출할 수 있도록 센서를 추가하여 구성함으로써, 트렁크 개폐수단이 동작하게 할 때 자동차와 그 뒤에 있는 벽이나 장애물 사이의 거리, 그리고 루프패널과 그 위에 있는 장애물 사이의 높이를 검출한 자료를 바탕으로 트렁크가 열릴 수 있는 충분한 공간이 확보되었을 때만 트렁크가 개방되게 하여 트렁크가 장애물이나 벽에 부딪혀서 발생하는 파손이나 훼손 그리고 오염을 미리 방지할 수 있다. 또한, 검출된 거리와 높이를 설정 길이와 설정 높이와 각각 비교하여 다르게 경고할 수 있게 구성함으로, 운전자는 자동차와 그 뒤의 벽이나 장애물 사이의 거리가 짧은지 루프패널과 장애물 사이의 높이가 낮은지 쉽게 판단하여 운전자가 이에 맞춰 신속하게 대처할 수 있다.
