Обнаружение пешехода или велосипедиста осуществляют по сигналу датчиков движения, установленных в начале коридора, образованного ограждающими конструкциями. Оповещение водителей транспортных средств осуществляют заблаговременно активацией контурной подсветки по сигналу блока управления, получающему сигнал от датчиков движения, при этом контурную подсветку активируют на ограждающих конструкциях зоны пешеходного перехода или велосипедной дорожки и полуарки с установленными знаками пешеходного перехода или велосипедной дорожки.
