FIELD: furniture.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a mechanism for flaps. Piece of furniture comprises a compartment, a sliding flap for closing/opening the compartment, a mechanism installed inside the compartment to support the flap during horizontal movement to open the compartment. Mechanism comprises a first lever installed inside the compartment to support the flap during horizontal movement to open the compartment, and pivotally connected to the compartment with possibility of rotation, when used, around the first vertical axis, second lever configured to be arranged parallel to the sliding direction of the flap when the flap moves to open the compartment and having a free end facing in the sliding direction of the flap, wherein said wheel end with turn axis parallel to first and second vertical axles is fitted on free end. Wheel is slidable inside the mating guide fitted on the flap inner side. First and second levers are installed so that rotation of second lever relative to first lever changes position of cast wheel when flap moves, in connection with which the wheel receives two different positions relative to the opening/closing position of the flap, and at the end of the horizontal sliding stroke for the flap, the first lever is substantially orthogonal to the plane of the flap, and second lever is located substantially orthogonally to first lever, forming L-like lever in this point.EFFECT: invention is aimed at improving the reliability of the mechanism.6 cl, 9 dwg
