BUILDING ENVELOPE ASSEMBLY INCLUDE MOISTURE TRANSPORTATION FEATURE
Aspects of the disclosure relate to building envelope assemblies including a structural wall frame, a water separation plane on an exterior side of the structural wall frame, an opening in the building envelope assembly and an envelope penetrating component positioned within the opening and secured to the structural wall frame. Additional aspects relate to a drain assembly that can be provided as part of the building envelope assembly or provided separately. The drain assembly incudes first and second plates, moisture inlet and outlet, a flexible sheet disposed between the first and second plates and extending between the moisture inlet and outlet and at least one seal formed between the moisture inlet and outlet, each seal adjacent the flexible sheet. The drain assembly is configured to transport moisture from the moisture inlet to the moisture outlet.
