    A sealing medium and a method are for sealing at least a portion of a well. The method includes the step of: injecting the sealing medium into the portion of the well which is to be sealed, wherein the sealing medium comprises quick clay. The use of quick clay as a sealing medium in a well and the use of quick clay for facilitating the removal of casing from a well are also described.
