Described is a system for cleaning swimming pools, including a robot which includes a main body, a plurality of electric rotors supported by the main body and configured for generating a hydrodynamic thrust designed to move the robot inside the volume of water of a swimming pool, an electricity storage unit for powering the rotors, means for cleaning the swimming pool; the system also including a recharging base of the electricity storage unit.
