In the flashing assembly (1), the first section (71) of the first flashing element (7) comprises two legs (711, 712) extending along the width axis and being located at a distance from each other measured along the height axis thereby forming a pocket (713) between them. The first section (81) of the second flashing element (8) fits into the pocket of the first flashing element.
