SUSPENDED CEILING GRID CLIP FOR SECURING AN UNOPPOSED CROSS TEE TO A MAIN RUNNER

A clip is provided for securing a cross tee to a main runner in a suspended ceiling grid system. The clip comprises a first leg configured to extend through the slot in the web of the main runner so as to lie alongside the web of a cross tee whose connector extends through the slot in a direction opposite to that of the first leg; a second leg extending generally perpendicularly to the first leg so as to lie alongside the web of the main runner; and a third leg extending generally perpendicularly to the second leg and generally parallel to the first leg. The third leg is sized to extend through an aperture in the web of the main runner and then be bent to lie alongside the web of the main runner on a side opposite to that of the second leg.

L'invention concerne un élément de fixation pour fixer un té transversal à un rail principal dans un système de grille de plafond suspendu. L'élément de fixation comprend une première branche conçue pour s'étendre à travers la fente dans l'âme du rail principal de façon à s'étendre le long de l'armature d'un té transversal dont un raccord s'étend à travers la fente dans une direction opposée à celle de la première branche ; une deuxième branche s'étendant sensiblement perpendiculairement à la première branche de façon à s'étendre le long de l'âme du rail principal ; et une troisième branche s'étendant sensiblement perpendiculairement à la deuxième branche et sensiblement parallèlement à la première branche. La troisième branche est dimensionnée pour s'étendre à travers une ouverture dans l'âme du rail principal, puis être pliée pour s'étendre le long de l'âme du rail principal sur un côté opposé à celui de la deuxième branche.
