SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RETROFITTING WALLS WITH RETAINING TIES
A retention tie system for post-construction installation to stabilize masonry or composite walls (10). The system comprises a tie member (15) anchored in an anchor hole (14) bored into the existing foundation (5) and a tensioned against a base plate (30) and a cover plate (31) seated along the top of the wall (10). A bracing bracket (40) is used to provide lateral stability to the respective plate members (30, 31). A tension washer (50) is used to ensure that the tie members (15) are tensioned to the appropriate load.
Cette invention concerne un système de tirants de retenue destiné à une installation après la construction pour stabiliser des murs de maçonnerie ou composites (10). Ledit système comprend un élément de tirant (15) ancré dans un trou d'ancrage (14) percé dans la fondation existante (5) et tendu contre une plaque de base (30) et une plaque de couverture (31) reposant le long de la partie supérieure d'un mur (10). Un support de renforcement (40) est utilisé pour fournir une stabilité latérale aux éléments de plaque respectifs (30, 31).
