Die vorliegende Erfindung offenbart ein Gründungssystem für die Gründung eines Offshore-Bauwerkes (1), umfassend einen Monopile (10) mit einem im Meeresboden (M) verankerbaren Verankerungsabschnitt (11) und einem am gegenüberliegenden Ende angeordneten Verbindungsabschnitt (12), und umfassend eine mit dem Verbindungsabschnitt (12) des Monopiles (10) direkt verbindbare oder über ein Übergangsstück mittelbar verbindbare und oberhalb der Wasseroberfläche anordenbare Plattformstruktur (3). Das erfindungsgemäße Gründungssystem ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass dieses zumindest zwei Stabilisierungseinrichtungen (20, 21, 22) umfasst, die jeweils direkt mit der Plattformstruktur (3) oder mittelbar über das Übergangsstück mit der Plattformstruktur (3) verbindbar und mit dem Meeresboden (M) in Kontakt bringbar sind, so dass Zug- und/oder Druckkräfte zwischen dem Meeresboden (M) und der Plattformstruktur (3) übertragbar sind, wobei Befestigungspunkte der Stabilisierungseinrichtungen (20, 21, 22) an der Plattformstruktur (3) oder an dem Übergangsstück zusammen mit dem Verbindungsabschnitt (12) des Monopiles (10) im montierten Zustand des Gründungssystems eine Ebene mit einer horizontaler Erstreckungskomponente aufspannen.
