ABSTRACT The present invention provides a timber joist comprising first and second flanges connected together by a web, the web being structurally integral with the flanges. Both flanges comprise timber poles. The web inserts into the first and second flanges a sufficient distance so as to provide resistance to longitudinal splitting or cracking of the timber.
La présente concerne une poutrelle en bois qui comprend des première et seconde brides reliées par une âme, ladite âme étant structurellement monobloc avec les brides. Les deux brides comprennent des poteaux en bois. L'âme s'insère dans les première et seconde brides à une distance suffisante pour fournir une résistance à la séparation ou à la fissuration longitudinale du bois.
