Die Erfindung schlägt eine Verbindung zweier Adapterteile (5, 19) einer modular aufbaubaren Tragvorrichtung (1) zum Tragen von Werkzeugen, Werkstücken oder dergleichen vor, mit einem ersten Adapterteil (19), das einen endseitigen Ansatz (25) mit einer teilkugelförmigen Ausnehmung (26) aufweist, einem zweiten Adapterteil (5), das einen endseitigen kugelförmigen Ansatz (7) zum Einsetzen in die teilkugelförmige Ausnehmung (26) des ersten Adapterteils (19) sowie einen am kugelförmigen Ansatz (7), auf dessen der teilkugelförmigen Ausnehmung (26) abgewandten Hälfte, anliegenden Klemmring (9) aufweist, einer Verbindungsschelle (36), die den Ansatz (25) des ersten Adapterteils (19) und den Klemmring (9) des zweiten Adapterteils (5) auf einander abgewandten Seiten hintergreift sowie axial und radial zueinander festlegt, wobei der Ansatz (25) des ersten Adapterteils (19) und der Klemmring (9) jeweils mindestens einen Schwächungsbereich (34, 33) zum Verformen von Ansatz (25) des ersten Adapterteils (19) und Klemmring (9) bei Einwirkung auf diese mittels der Verbindungsschelle (36) aufweist. Eine derartige Verbindung ist sicher, wenn Werkzeuge, Werkstücke oder dergleichen mit relativ großem Gewicht von der Tragvorrichtung aufgenommen werden.
