A method for decontaminating a site comprises the application of a film-forming composition onto a material (1) that comprises asbestos particles (10). A fluxing agent can also be applied to the asbestos material, after or at the same time as the film-forming composition. The asbestos material isolated in this way is extracted from the site to be decontaminated, then heated with a fluxing agent (3) added to produce an end product in which the asbestos particles are trapped or have been melted.
Un procédé de dépollution d'un site comprend l'application d'une composition filmogène sur un matériau (1) qui comprend des particules d'amiante (10). Un fondant peut aussi être appliqué sur le matériau amianté, à la suite de la composition filmogène ou en même temps que celle-ci. Le matériau amianté ainsi isolé est extrait hors du site à dépolluer, puis chauffé avec un fondant (3) ajouté pour produire un matériau final dans lequel les particules d'amiante sont piégées ou ont été fondues.
