REINFORCEMENT BAR AND METHOD FOR REINFORCING A DOOR ASSEMBLY
The present disclosure relates to a reinforcement bar for a door assembly, said reinforcement bar being adapted to be introduced in a gap between a door frame and a wall, wherein the reinforcement has a length of at least 1000 mm and is adapted to be secured, such as hanged, to frame screws of the door frame, and wherein said reinforcement bar is further configured to receive strike plate screws of a strike plate of the door assembly, thereby attaching and supporting the strike plate. The disclosure further relates to a method for reinforcing a door assembly, the method comprising: providing a reinforcement bar adapted to be positioned, in a gap between the door frame and a wall, distal to the door frame of the door assembly in relation to a free swinging side of a door of the door assembly, wherein the reinforcement bar has a length greater than at least a major length portion of the door frame; introducing the reinforcement bar into the gap from one of the room-facing sides of the door frame in a vertical position; securing the reinforcement bar to frame screws of the door frame extending into the gap, preferably without removing the frame screws; and attaching the reinforcement bar to a strike plate of the door assembly by screwing strike plate screws through the door frame and into the reinforcement bar.
La présente invention concerne une barre de renforcement pour un ensemble porte, ladite barre de renforcement étant conçue pour être introduite dans un espace entre un encadrement de porte et un mur, le renforcement ayant une longueur d'au moins 1 000 mm et étant conçu pour être fixé, par exemple suspendu, à des vis de l'encadrement de porte et ladite barre de renforcement étant en outre conçue pour recevoir des vis de gâche d'une gâche de l'ensemble de porte, ce qui permet de fixer et de supporter la gâche. L'invention concerne en outre un procédé de renforcement d'un ensemble porte, le procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à : fournir une barre de renforcement conçue pour être positionnée, dans un espace entre l'encadrement de porte et un mur, de façon distale par rapport à l'encadrement de porte de l'ensemble porte par rapport à un côté oscillant libre d'une porte de l'ensemble porte, la barre de renforcement ayant une longueur supérieure à au moins une partie de longueur principale de l'encadrement de porte ; introduire la barre de renforcement dans l'espace depuis l'un des côtés tournés vers la pièce de l'encadrement de porte dans une position verticale ; fixer la barre de renforcement à des vis de l'encadrement de porte s'étendant dans l'espace, de préférence sans retirer les vis de l'encadrement ; et fixer la barre de renforcement à une gâche de l'ensemble porte par vissage des vis de gâche à travers l'encadrement de porte et dans la barre de renforcement.
