Gegenstand der Erfindung sind Verbundwerkstoffe auf Wolframcarbid-Basis umfassend Gold, Palladium und/oder Platin und ein Verfahren zu ihrer Herstellung durch Sintern. Mit dem FAST Verfahren können harte und biokompatible WC/(Au, Pd, Pt)-Verbundwerkstoffe hergestellt werden, u.a. zur Verwendung als Beschichtung von Werkzeugen und Prothesen, sowie als Vollkörper in z.B. Blutpumpen.
The invention relates to composite materials based on tungsten carbide and comprising gold, palladium and/or platinum and to a method for producing said composite materials by sintering. By means of the FAST method, hard and biocompatible WC/(Au, Pd, Pt) composite materials can be produced, inter alia for use as coatings on tools and prostheses and as solid bodies in, for example, blood pumps.
L'invention concerne des matériaux composites à base de carbure de tungstène, comprenant de l'or, du palladium et/ou du platine, et un procédé pour leur fabrication par frittage. Le procédé FAST permet de fabriquer des matériaux composites à base de WC/(Au, Pd, Pt) durs et biocompatibles, se destinant entre autres à être utilisés en tant que revêtement d'outils et de prothèses ainsi qu'en tant que corps plein dans par exemple des pompes à sang.
