The invention relates to a structure of a motor vehicle, comprising laterally, one on each side, two C-pillars (4), each of the said pillars (4) forming a hollow body and comprising a front transverse wall portion (16) intended to accept a vehicle rear door lock strike. Each of the two C-pillars (4) comprises an internal reinforcer (24) passing across the hollow body and comprising a portion (26) against an interior face (28) of the front transverse wall portion (16).
