An insulated tarpaulin (1) having first (3) and second (5) sheets, barriers (7) located between and defining compartments (9) between the first and second sheets, and insulation elements (11) located in the compartments. Apertures (13) are arranged through the barriers (7). Attachment means (15) are extending through the apertures and connect insulation elements to insulation elements located in other compartments.A method is also disclosed.
