CREST ELEMENT FOR A BREAKWATER, ARMOUR LAYER ASSEMBLY FOR A BREAKWATER, BREAKWATER, METHOD OF CRESTING A BREAKWATER, AND METHOD OF PROVIDING AN ARMOUR ON A BREAKWATER
The invention concerns a crest element in an armour layer assembly of a breakwater. The crest element comprises: a central part; two wings extending from the central part in opposing directions along, when placed on a breakwater, the length direction of the breakwater; and a nose extending from the central part in a forward direction transverse to the length direction of the breakwater. The backside of the central part is a vertically oriented, back face facing in a backward direction opposite to the forward direction. The crest element may in particular be used as crest element for armour layers comprising armour elements of the type having a central part from which: two wings extend in opposing directions, and a tail and nose extend in opposing directions transverse to the direction of extension of the wings. The invention further concerns an armour layer, a breakwater and methods using the crest elements.
L'invention concerne un élément de crête dans un ensemble couche de blindage d'un brise-lames. L'élément de crête comprend : une partie centrale ; deux ailes s'étendant à partir de la partie centrale dans des directions opposées sur, lorsqu'elles sont placées sur un brise-lames, le sens de la longueur du brise-lames ; et un nez s'étendant à partir de la partie centrale dans une direction avant transversale au sens de la longueur du brise-lames. La face arrière de la partie centrale est une face arrière orientée verticalement faisant face dans une direction arrière opposée à la direction avant. L'élément de crête peut en particulier être utilisé comme élément de crête pour des couches de blindage comprenant des éléments de blindage du type ayant une partie centrale à partir de laquelle : deux ailes s'étendent dans des directions opposées, et une queue et un nez s'étendent dans des directions opposées transversalement à la direction d'extension des ailes.
