A lock for securing to a movable body (1) and for cooperating with a strike plate (12) on a stationary body (11), which lock is movable away from the strike plate (12) for opening the movable body (11), which lock is movable into juxtaposition with the strike plate (12) for closing the movable body (11) and which lock comprises a casing (3) which includes a rotatable trigger (8) which is positioned in the casing (3) and a locking member (7) which is also positioned in the casing (3) and wherein; the rotatable trigger (8) projects from the casing (3); the rotatable trigger (8) rotates about an axis of rotation positioned on a front working plane of the casing (3) such that the rotatable trigger (8) rotates into the casing (3) and out of the casing (3) with the rotatable trigger (8) being spring biased to rotate out of the casing (3); the locking member (7) is movable between a projected position in which the locking member (7) projects from the casing (3) and a retracted position in which the locking member (7) is retracted into the casing (3); the locking member (7) is configured to move into the projected position when the rotatable trigger (8) rotates into the casing (3); the locking member (7) is configured to move into the retracted position when the rotatable trigger (8) rotates out of the casing (3); the locking member (7) moves into a locked position when the lock is brought into juxtaposition with the strike plate (12) such that the rotatable trigger (8) rotates into the casing (3) as it comes into juxtaposition with the strike plate (12), whereby the locking member (7) projects from the casing (3) such that the locking member (7) moves into a recess in the strike plate to lock the movable body (1) and; • when the lock is moved out of juxtaposition with the strike plate (12) the rotatable trigger (8) rotates out of the casing (3) and the locking member (7) moves into the retracted position.

L'invention concerne un verrou destiné à être fixé à un corps mobile (1) et à coopérer avec une plaque de frappe (12) sur un corps fixe (11). Ledit verrou est : mobile à l'opposé de la plaque de frappe (12) pour ouvrir le corps mobile (11) ; mobile en juxtaposition avec la plaque de frappe (12) pour fermer le corps mobile (11) ; et comprend un boîtier (3) comportant un déclencheur rotatif (8) et un élément de verrouillage (7) qui sont positionnés en son sein, le déclencheur rotatif (8) faisant saillie à partir du boîtier (3). Le déclencheur rotatif (8) tourne autour d'un axe de rotation positionné sur un plan de travail avant du boîtier (3) de telle sorte qu'il peut tourner dans le boîtier (3) et hors du boîtier (3), le déclencheur rotatif (8) étant sollicité par ressort pour tourner hors du boîtier (3). L'élément de verrouillage (7) : - est mobile entre une position projetée dans laquelle l'élément de verrouillage (7) fait saillie à partir du boîtier (3) et une position rétractée dans laquelle l'élément de verrouillage (7) est rétracté dans le boîtier (3) ; - est configuré pour se déplacer dans la position projetée lorsque le déclencheur rotatif (8) tourne dans le boîtier (3) ; - est configuré pour se déplacer dans la position rétractée lorsque le déclencheur rotatif (8) tourne hors du boîtier (3) ; - se déplace dans une position verrouillée lorsque le verrou est amené en juxtaposition avec la plaque de frappe (12) de telle sorte que le déclencheur rotatif (8) tourne dans le boîtier (3) lorsqu'il vient en juxtaposition avec la plaque de frappe (12). Grâce à cette configuration, l'élément de verrouillage (7) fait saillie à partir du boîtier (3) de telle sorte qu'il (7) se déplace dans un renfoncement dans la plaque de frappe pour verrouiller le corps mobile (1) et ; lorsque le verrou est déplacé hors de la juxtaposition avec la plaque de frappe (12), le déclencheur rotatif (8) tourne hors du boîtier (3) et l'élément de verrouillage (7) se déplace dans la position rétractée.
