A system and method for storing molten sulfur includes a reinforced concrete vessel, the reinforced concrete vessel being subterranean. The vessel has a floor (104) that is a raft footing formed of reinforced concrete and has a floor interior surface. The vessel also has a ceiling that is a slab (108) of reinforced concrete and has a ceiling interior surface. Sidewalls (112) of the vessel extend between the floor and the ceiling and are formed of reinforced concrete, each sidewall having a sidewall interior surface. A liner (130) is bonded to the floor interior surface, the ceiling interior surface, and each sidewall interior surface. The liner formed of an epoxy vinyl ester resin, and a glass fiber sheet embedded in the epoxy vinyl ester resin.
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé de stockage de soufre fondu qui comprennent une cuve en béton armé, la cuve en béton armé étant souterraine. La cuve possède un plancher (104) qui est une base de plateforme formée de béton armé et possède une surface intérieure de plancher. La cuve possède également un plafond qui est une dalle (108) de béton armé et possède une surface intérieure de plafond. Des parois latérales (112) de la cuve s'étendent entre le plancher et le plafond et sont formées de béton armé, chaque paroi latérale ayant une surface intérieure de paroi latérale. Une doublure (130) est jointe à la surface intérieure de plancher, à la surface intérieure de plafond et à chaque surface intérieure de paroi latérale. La doublure est constituée d'une résine époxy d'ester vinylique et d'une feuille de fibres de verre incorporée dans la résine époxy d'ester vinylique.
