Die Erfindung betrifft eine Ablaufvorrichtung, insbesondere einen Siphon, umfassend eine an eine Sanitäreinrichtung anschließbare Einlauföffnung (1) und eine an ein Abwasserrohr anschließbare Ablauföffnung (2), sowie einen zwischen der Einlauföffnung (1) und der Ablauföffnung (2) angeordneten Verschlussabschnitt (3), wobei der Gasdurchtritt zwischen Einlauföffnung (1) und Ablauföffnung (2) durch Füllen des Verschlussabschnitts (3) mit einer Flüssigkeit verhinderbar ist, wobei eine Betätigungseinrichtung (4) und eine Belüftungsöffnung (5) vorgesehen sind, wobei die Betätigungseinrichtung (4) in einer Ruheposition die Belüftungsöffnung (5) verschließt und in einer Aktivierungsposition die Belüftungsöffnung (5) freigibt, und wobei in der Aktivierungsposition ein Gasdurchtritt zwischen der Ablauföffnung (2) und der Belüftungsöffnung (5) ermöglicht wird.
