Herein is disclosed a method of producing a ceramic support suitable for a catalyst, the method comprising providing a porous ceramic structure, comprising a body portion with a monomodal macropore structure, wherein the macropores comprises a first mean pore size; washcoating the porous ceramic structure using a suspension comprising oxide and/or hydroxide nanoparticles and drying and calcinating the washcoated porous ceramic structure at a temperature below the melting point of the nanoparticles. In addition, the ceramic support and its structure is disclosed.
Est décrit ici un procédé de production d'un support céramique approprié pour un catalyseur, le procédé consistant à fournir une structure céramique poreuse comprenant une partie corps présentant une structure monomodale à macropores, les macropores comprenant une première taille moyenne de pores; revêtir la structure céramique poreuse à l'aide d'une suspension comprenant des nanoparticules d'oxyde et/ou d'hydroxyde, et sécher et calciner la structure céramique poreuse revêtue à une température inférieure au point de fusion des nanoparticules. De plus, le support céramique et sa structure sont décrits.
