SEALS FOR DOCK LEVELLING SYSTEMS, METHODS OF SEALING GAPS IN DOCK LEVELLING SYSTEMS, AND METHODS OF ARRANGING SEALS FOR DOCK LEVELLING SYSTEMS FOR STORAGE OR TRANSPORTATION
A seal for a dock levelling system comprising a movable ramp arranged within a recess. The seal is for sealing a gap between a side of the movable ramp and a wall of the recess, and comprising a flexible strip formed of a flexible material, and on each longitudinal edge of the flexible strip, an attachment strip for attaching the flexible strip to the side of the movable ramp. The seal is arranged so that when the attachment strips are attached adjacently to each other to the side of the movable ramp, the material of the flexible strip between the attachment strips forms a closed loop extending out from the side of the movable ramp to the wall of the recess, to seal the gap between the side of the movable ramp and the wall of the recess.
La présente invention concerne un joint d'étanchéité pour un système de mise à niveau de quai comprenant une rampe mobile disposée à l'intérieur d'un évidement. Le joint d'étanchéité est destiné à étanchéifier un espace entre un côté de la rampe mobile et une paroi de l'évidement, et comprend une bande souple constituée d'un matériau souple, et sur chaque bord longitudinal de la bande souple, une bande de fixation pour fixer la bande souple au côté de la rampe mobile. Le joint d'étanchéité est agencé de telle sorte que lorsque les bandes de fixation sont fixées l'une à côté de l'autre sur le côté de la rampe mobile, le matériau de la bande souple entre les bandes de fixation forme une boucle fermée s'étendant hors du côté de la rampe mobile jusqu'à la paroi de l'évidement, pour étanchéifier l'espace entre le côté de la rampe mobile et la paroi de l'évidement.
