A tooth adaptor for a leading edge of excavation equipment has a body having legs defining a cavity, the body adapted to be mounted to the excavation equipment by the leading edge received in the cavity. A tooth interface is at a leading end of the body, a contact surface of the body being defined in the cavity and being configured to be opposite a leading surface of the leading edge and in contact with the leading surface. A boss projects in a trailing direction from the contact surface, wherein at least one of contact surfaces including a slot extending in a leading-to-trailing direction of the tooth adaptor. The slot may define a flaring section in which a sidewall(s) of the slot diverges from the leading-to-trailing direction. A trailing surface(s) at an end of the legs has a flaring geometry flaring away from the tooth interface.
Adaptateur de dent pour un bord avant d'un équipement d'excavation comportant un corps possédant des pattes délimitant une cavité, le corps étant conçu pour être monté sur l'équipement d'excavation par le bord avant reçu dans la cavité. Une interface de dent se situe au niveau d'une extrémité avant du corps, une surface de contact du corps étant délimitée dans la cavité et étant conçue pour être opposée à une surface avant du bord avant et en contact avec la surface avant.
