The shock-absorbing base comprises a fixed base, a movable horizontal platform for receiving protected equipment, a collapse-prevention device, horizontal movement compensation devices in the form of rolling bearing assemblies, and vertical movement compensation devices in the form of resilient elements. The movable horizontal platform comprises an upper casing and a supporting carriage, which are resiliently connected to one another by a horizontal stabilization unit configured in the form of a lever mechanism supported on a vertical movement compensation assembly that is capable only of vertical movement along vertical guides. The arms of the lever mechanism are fastened on a common pin and have upper and lower bearings. The upper bearings of the lever arms move along horizontal guides disposed in the upper casing, and the lower lever bearings move along horizontal guides disposed in the supporting carriage. The supporting carriage is connected to the collapse-prevention device in such a way as to allow horizontal movement of the supporting carriage while preventing the vertical movement thereof.
