PIVOT HINGE, PIVOTAL DOOR LEAF AND METHOD OF INSTALLING AND/OR REMOVING A PIVOTAL DOOR LEAF
Pivot hinge having an extendable and retractable pivot pin for pivotally connecting a pivotal door leaf with a structural element. The door leaf having an upper edge, lower edge, an inner side edge and an outer side edge. The pivot pin defining a vertical pivot axis. The pivot hinge further comprises a casing configured to be mounted to either the door leaf or the structural element, for example at the upper edge of the door leaf, e.g. at a corner region between the inner side edge and the upper edge of the door leaf, wherein the pivot pin is movably provided in a vertical passage within the casing, and a lever assembly adapted to move the pivot pin between a retracted position and an extended position. The lever assembly is located within the casing and comprises a lever member having a first end engaging the pivot pin, a fulcrum, and a second end, and a lever adjustment member and being in engagement with the second end of the lever such that operating the lever adjustment member causes the lever to pivot about the fulcrum, which in turn causes movement of the pivot pin between the retracted and extended positions.
L'invention concerne une charnière de pivotement ayant une broche de pivotement extensible et rétractable pour relier de manière pivotante un battant de porte pivotant à un élément structurel. Le battant de porte a un bord supérieur, un bord inférieur, un bord latéral interne et un bord latéral externe. La broche de pivotement définit un axe de pivotement vertical. La charnière de pivotement comprend en outre un boîtier configuré pour être monté sur soit le battant de porte soit l'élément structurel, par exemple au bord supérieur du battant de porte, par exemple à une région de coin entre le bord latéral interne et le bord supérieur du battant de porte, la broche de pivotement étant disposée de manière mobile dans un passage vertical à l'intérieur du boîtier, et un ensemble levier conçu pour déplacer la broche de pivotement entre une position rétractée et une position étendue. L'ensemble levier est situé à l'intérieur du boîtier et comprend un élément de levier ayant une première extrémité venant en prise avec la broche de pivotement, un point d'articulation et une seconde extrémité, et un élément de réglage de levier en prise avec la seconde extrémité du levier de telle sorte qu'un actionnement de l'élément de réglage de levier amène le levier à pivoter autour du point d'articulation, ce qui à son tour provoque un mouvement de la broche de pivotement entre les positions rétractée et étendue.
