EXTRUDED BALLAST PROTECTION FOR WATERPROOFING
A method for establishing ballast protection film over a waterproofing membrane, the method comprising: a. providing at least one layer of a waterproofing membrane on a surface to form a waterproof seal upon said surface; and b. applying onto a surface of the waterproofing membrane a liquid curable composition at an average uncured thickness of no less than 0.5 mm and no greater than 50 mm, wherein the liquid curable composition comprises (i) at least one reactive acrylate-based monomer, and (ii) a polymerization initiator added to activate polymerization of the reactive acrylate -based monomer, wherein the liquid curable composition cures and forms a resin film when applied to the surface of the waterproofing membrane.
Procédé d'établissement d'un film de protection de ballast sur une membrane d'imperméabilisation, le procédé comprenant les étapes consistant : a. à fournir au moins une couche d'une membrane d'imperméabilisation sur une surface pour former un joint étanche à l'eau sur ladite surface ; et b. à appliquer sur une surface de la membrane d'imperméabilisation une composition durcissable liquide à une épaisseur non durcie moyenne inférieure ou égale à 0,5 mm et inférieure ou égale à 50 mm, la composition durcissable liquide comprenant (i) au moins un monomère à base d'acrylate réactif, et (ii) un initiateur de polymérisation ajouté pour activer la polymérisation du monomère à base d'acrylate réactif, la composition durcissable liquide durcissant et formant un film de résine lorsqu'elle est appliquée à la surface de la membrane d'imperméabilisation.
