Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Formkörper, insbesondere eine feuerfeste Bauplatte, umfassend mindestens einen pulverförmigen Füllstoff und mindestens ein Kieselsäurenetzwerk, ein Verfahren zur Herstellung dieses Formkörpern und die Verwendung des Formkörpers als umweltfreundliches und nichtbrennbares Baumaterial. Der pulverförmige Füllstoff umfasst bevorzugt Glaspulver, das Kieselsäurenetzwerk wird durch Reaktion von Wasserglas mit Alumosilikat, Aluminiumphosphat, mehrwertige Kationen und/oder Alkohol erhalten. Bevorzugt enthält der Formkörper zusätzlich Blähglas aus Drainagemittel.
