The invention relates to a motor vehicle latch, in particular a motor vehicle door latch, which is equipped with a latch case (1) and a latch cover (4, 5) as substantial components of a latch housing (1, 4, 5). The latch case (1) and the latch cover (4, 5) can be connected to one another. In addition, the latch case (1) is equipped with a raised edge (1a) at least on part of the circumference. According to the invention, the latch cover (4, 5) overlaps the raised edge (1a) with an overhang flange (4a) when installed on the latch case (1 ).

L'invention concerne un verrou de véhicule automobile, en particulier un verrou de portière de véhicule automobile, qui est équipé d'un boîtier de verrou (1) et d'un couvercle de verrou (4, 5) en tant que composants substantiels d'un logement de verrou (1, 4, 5). Le boîtier de verrou (1) et le couvercle de verrou (4, 5) peuvent être reliés l'un à l'autre. De plus, le boîtier de verrou (1) est équipé d'un bord surélevé (1a) au moins sur une partie de la circonférence. Selon l'invention, le couvercle de verrou (4, 5) chevauche le bord surélevé (1a) avec une bride en surplomb (4a) lorsqu'il est installé sur le boîtier de verrou (1).
