A modified ternary Zr-Ta-Y oxide system is provided having a larger non- transformable, tetragonal phase that enables thermal barrier materials with improved properties of low thermal conductivity, higher sinter resistance, higher phase stability, and higher toughness to be created.
L'invention concerne un système d'oxyde de Zr-Ta-Y ternaire modifié ayant une phase tétragonale non transformable plus grande qui permet de créer des matériaux de barrière thermique ayant des propriétés améliorées de faible conductivité thermique, de résistance de frittage supérieure, de stabilité de phase supérieure et de ténacité plus élevée.
